01

Starting with UP Timer

Lite, account access and the first steps.

Is UP Timer free to use?

Yes. Lite is free and provides up to one continuous two-hour window each day. The window begins when you start your first timer, not when you open the page.

Does opening UP Timer start my Lite window?

No. Opening the page does not begin the allowance. The two-hour window starts only when you start your first Focus, Hydrate, Move or Learn timer.

What happens if I pause or reset a timer during Lite?

The daily window continues to run. Lite is one continuous two-hour period from the first timer start, even if an individual timer is paused or reset.

Do I need an account for Lite?

No. You can begin with Lite without creating an account. An account is required when you want to activate the Full trial or manage a Full membership.

Can I use all four timers during Lite?

Lite gives you access to the connected UP Timer workspace during the daily window, including Focus, Hydrate, Move and Learn.

02

Full trial and membership

Manual trial activation, annual billing and access changes.

How does the Full trial work?

Create and confirm an account, then manually activate three days / 72 hours of Full access. The period begins only when you choose to start it.

Do I need a card for the Full trial?

No. The Full trial requires no card and does not automatically convert into a paid membership.

How much is Full?

Full is $59.99 per year as a recurring annual membership.

Does the trial automatically charge me?

No. When the trial ends, you decide whether to subscribe. No automatic paid conversion takes place.

What happens when Lite or the trial ends?

Access returns to the appropriate available state. You can subscribe to Full when ready or continue using the free Lite window on future days.

How do I manage or cancel Full?

Sign in to UP Timer and use the secure billing-management route. Cancelling normally stops the next renewal; see the Refund & Cancellation Policy for the current position.

What happens if an annual payment fails?

The payment provider may request an updated payment method and retry payment. If the subscription is not recovered, Full access can end and the account returns to Lite.

03

The four timers

Focus, hydration, movement and short learning in one workspace.

Is UP Timer only a focus timer?

No. Focus and break cycles sit alongside a Water Timer, Move Timer and Learn Sprint so the four routines can share one working rhythm.

What can I set in the Focus Timer?

You can configure focus duration, short and long breaks, cycle behaviour and the alert used when a phase completes.

How does the Water Timer work?

You choose your water target, cup size, working start and end times and reminder pacing. The target is personal; UP Timer does not prescribe one amount for everyone.

What does the Move Timer do?

It provides movement prompts at a cadence you choose and can guide short exercises or changes of position. You remain responsible for deciding what is suitable for you.

What is a Learn Sprint?

A Learn Sprint is a short block for reading, recall, review or another piece of useful learning. It can be started immediately or scheduled.

Can the timers run together?

Yes. The product is designed as one workspace so focus cycles and supporting reminders can form a connected workday rhythm.

04

Alerts, sound and acknowledgement

Browser permissions, voices and prompts that wait for a response.

What is persistent acknowledgement?

When a timer alert fires, the on-screen prompt and selected sound or voice continue until you acknowledge it. This helps prevent a notification from disappearing unnoticed.

Does acknowledgement prove I completed the action?

No. It confirms only that the prompt was seen. It does not prove that you drank water, moved, took a break, learned or followed any instruction.

Can I choose a voice?

UP Timer includes male and female voice-alert choices alongside its other alert options.

Why can I not hear an alert?

Check the selected alert, device volume, browser audio permissions and whether the tab or device is muted. Some browsers require a user interaction before audio can play.

How do desktop notifications work?

Your browser asks for notification permission. Once allowed, UP Timer can send supported desktop notifications when the browser and operating system permit them.

What if I denied notification permission?

Use your browser site settings to change the permission for timer.uptimer.app, then reload the timer. The exact route differs by browser.

Will alerts work if I close the browser?

Do not rely on alerts after closing the browser or device. Availability depends on the browser, operating system, permissions and power-saving behaviour.

05

Privacy, Company and support

Personal boundaries, future organisation access and help routes.

Can a company see my personal timer activity?

The Company proposition is designed around licence administration and approved learning—not personal Focus, Hydrate, Move or Learn monitoring.

Is UP Timer employee monitoring software?

No. It is not intended for surveillance, productivity scoring or proof that employees followed prompts.

When will Company access be available?

Company access is coming soon and remains enquiry-led. Organisations can register interest in future licences, selected pilots and bespoke setup.

Can a company request its own Learn Sprints?

The future Company direction includes short learning created from approved company, industry or role-specific source material. Scope and availability will be discussed directly.

Does UP Timer provide medical or ergonomic advice?

No. It provides timers, reminders and guided prompts. It does not assess health needs, replace professional advice or determine what movement, hydration or working pattern is suitable for you.

How do I get account or billing support?

Email support@uptimer.app. Billing-specific enquiries can also be sent to billing@uptimer.app.

Still deciding?

Begin with the free Lite window.

The clock starts only when you start your first timer. Opening the page does not use any of the two-hour allowance.
