Open the timer
Go to timer.uptimer.app. Simply opening the page does not start your Lite allowance.
- Lite begins with the first timer you start.
- The two-hour window then runs continuously.
Getting started
Start with one timer, then shape Focus, Hydrate, Move and Learn around your own working hours, preferences and browser permissions.
Seven steps
You do not need to configure everything at once. Begin with sensible timings, test the alerts and refine the workspace after using it.
Go to timer.uptimer.app. Simply opening the page does not start your Lite allowance.
Focus is a natural starting point, but any timer can begin the Lite window. Use the module that matches what you need now.
Adjust focus and break lengths, water working hours and pacing, movement cadence and any Learn Sprint schedule.
Start with a rhythm you are likely to use rather than creating a perfect system on day one.
Select the notification control and allow permission when your browser asks. If permission was previously blocked, change it in the site settings for timer.uptimer.app.
Select an alert or male/female voice option, check device volume and run a test while the browser tab is open.
Some browsers will not play sound until you have interacted with the page.
When an alert fires, the selected sound or voice and on-screen prompt can continue until you respond.
Acknowledgement means the prompt was seen. It does not verify that the suggested action was completed.
Notice which prompts are useful, which timings interrupt too often and which settings fit the actual shape of your workday. Adjust accordingly.
What each timer needs
These are the core settings to review before relying on the timer during a working session.
Structure a defined work block and the pause that follows it.
Make a user-selected target visible across chosen working hours.
Create moments to change position, stand, walk or use a suitable guided exercise.
Use a short block for reading, review, recall or another learning task.
Troubleshooting
Work through the checks in order. Browser and operating-system rules can affect what a web app is allowed to do.
Do not rely on web alerts after the browser or device has been closed. Power-saving and background restrictions also vary.
Open the browser’s settings for timer.uptimer.app and confirm notifications are allowed rather than blocked.
Confirm the device volume is audible, the browser tab is not muted and the selected UP Timer alert is enabled.
Click or tap inside the page before testing audio. Browsers often restrict playback before the first user interaction.
Refresh the timer and test again. If the problem continues, email support@uptimer.app with your device, operating system and browser.
